I had my '95 9000 Aero in for a major engine service back in January (purely precautionary, nothing was wrong at the time) at 110,000 miles. Walter suggested I have my balance shaft removed while he was in there. I said go for it. I could not be more pleased with the results. I can't even notice the increase in vibration, even after installing a polyurethane engine mount at the upper mount. Plus the engine seems to rev quicker, and doesn't feel as held back as it did before. Plus you save your engine from the chain breaking down the road. I love preventative maintenance!
DO IT!!!
