Never see any mention of which type or weight (light or heavy for Shockproof, etc...) you fellow Saabers use. Below are the cars to receive fluid change and below are most Red Line products listed. Please recommend
Tranny fluid to be changed in the following cars that are driven daily in a spirited fashion
1991 SPG 5spd 236K (2k on rebuild)
1996 9KT 5spd 126K orig
1992 9KT 5spd 215K orig
TIA!
Red Line Differential Oil (75W90)
75W90 fl 75W90 $9.20
Recommended for most street driven and racing differentials. Excellent performance in conventional and limited-slip units. Also for limited-slip manual transaxles that require a 90 Wt. oil. Contains limited-slip friction modifiers.
75W90NS fl 75W90 NS $9.20
Recommended for manual transmissions and non-limited-slip transaxles that recommend 90 Wt. oils. Can be used in racing limited-slip units to increase lockup and reduce wheel spin. Street-driven rear-wheel drive cars should use regular Red Line 75W90 or 80W140.
Red Line 75W140 Gear Oil fl 75W140 $9.20
Our 75W140 gear oil is a GL-5 rated product recommended for street-driven road car differentials where that viscosity is specified, providing excellent performance in both conventional and limited slip units. Recommended for E46-M3
Red Line Shock Proof Gear Oils
Heavy Shock Proof fl shockproof heavy $9.85
A unique lubricant containing a suspension of solid microscopic particles as an extreme pressure agent--unique solid dispersion that cushions gear teeth to help prevent tooth breakage and allows the use of lower viscosities. Recommended for heavily loaded racing differentials and transmissions, Off Road racing and problem gearboxes. The viscosity characteristics allow the lubricant to resist throw off and provide a film thickness similar to a 75W250 grade, while providing the same low fluid friction as an SAE 75W90.
Light Shock Proof fl shockproof lw $9.85
Unique gear oil designed to lubricate racing transmissions and transaxles that see serious loads (not recommended for most syncro-type transmissions). It has excellent low-temperature flow, which allows easier shifting when cold. May be used to obtain maximum power transfer in racing differentials, which do not see high temperatures. Similar to 75W140 gear oil, but with the lower internal friction of SAE 30 motor oil.
Used in most road-racing differentials with moderate power and dog-ring racing transaxles.
Red Line MTL Transmission Fluid
Manual Transmission/Transaxle Lubricant. A 75W/80W GL-4 fl MTL $9.20
Gear oil that is designed for manual transmissions that require 75W or 80W GL-3 Gear Oils, motor oils, or most special synchromesh fluids. It provides low temperature shift-ability equal to an ATF, yet will not thin out or shear at high temperatures and provides the substantial gear protection of a GL-4 Gear oil. The higher synchronizer coefficient of friction allows faster up shifting and downshifting and the lubricant is non-corrosive to synchros and bushings.
The MT-90 uses the same chemistry as the MTL, but is a 90 WT in order to satisfy certain manufacturers that recommend SAE 90 GL-4 Gear oils.
Red Line Transmission Fluid fl D4 ATF $9.20
Synthetic Dexron III and Mercon fluid meeting the requirements of most transmission manufacturers, while satisfying GL-4 gear oil requirements. Superior stability allows high-temperature operation without varnishing valves and clutches. Also provides tremendously improved shifting in cold weather. The best low-temperature shift-ability for manual transmissions and transaxles that require ATFs.
