no, you don't have to. EM will advance spark as necessary. boost will adjust as well.
simply grooving the head does make noticeable changes. did you read any of the linked articles? i have, and like I said, next time i have a head off, it's getting grooved. not an impossible series of lightening, milling, unicorns and ponies. grooves, 1, 2 or 3 per chamber, pointing at the spark plug. that is all. will it cure all problems? unlikely. will it cause endless problems? also unlikely. will there be a benefit? i hope so, but for the investment ($0, some time) just knowing it's BS would be worth it.
