I had my eyes on a BSR stage 1 upgrade for a long time for my 2001 Aero but was always hesitant for a couple reasons. For awhile it seemed like there were some issues with thier Trionic 7 tunes. Secondly I have seen some posts here and the other web site stating that a stage 1 tune for an Aero was kind of a waste of time - if you really wanted more power it was best to do a down pipe and exhaust with software as the Aero was already kind of maxed out. I am by no means an expert on this subject but that did make sense to me.
As far as what I wanted out of the tune was just to really get me up to the current Aero spec - I didn't want anything to make me soil myself :) for a daily driver. With a little reassurance from Nick I bought it.
My first impression after day one is that it was exactly what I was looking for. The power is definetly noticable - not so much off the line but as soon as I hit second gear. From there it is definetly sweet. The torque is really noticable in third and fourth. Its kind of hard to explain the difference - almost like the difference between normal and sport mode. It's a nice safe tune - nothing I feel will comprimise the longevity of my engine nor my gas mileage if I can stay out of the gas! And what better way to help the economy by spending my economic stimulus check with a site sponser ;)
