Should I be boosting 18PSI with stock 92/5-speed Posted by ToddM [Email] (#887) [Profile/Gallery] (more from ToddM) on Fri, 5 Dec 2008 20:09:56 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My 92 turbo/5-speed was missing at full boost. I replaced the spark plugs with NGK BCPR-7ES-11 and added a bottle of Lucas octane booster. The miss is gone and the car pulls HARD -- to 18 PSI before backing off to 17-16 PSI and holding. It was 46 degrees (F) and foggy (lots of moisture in the air). I have a temporary Sunpro boost gauge hooked up until I finish my analog clock to gauge swap. Is my gauge just reading high or can I make this kind of boost stock. The factory gauge was almost half in the red as well. Perfect conditions OR optimistic gauge?
