Simon, Jimmy - thx for the feedback
Simon- I have the std onboard boost gauge that comes with the car; I also have a manual vacuum boost gauge but never connected it while driving (checked the engine vacuum though and it's spot on).
I just disconnected the wastegate control for a short while to see if the problem was related to the boost control valve or not - connecting the turbo directly to the wastegate does not change a thing either... same as having all hoses connected.
Jimmy - I can remember the boost from the GT1752 before I switched to the TD04 and it was far better than this; I'll also point to the fact that the condition exists mostly when the car is warm which makes me thing it's Trionic related (low rpm performance on cold engine is significantly better).
Now I am at the stage (since yesterday) when I get a p0324 (knock system control error) whenever I start the car on a warm engine. I have logged the freeze frame status before clearing the error and interestingly enough, the system always reports an open loop... Since I just changed the coolant sensor, I can't really suspect it, unless the connection is shaky (damaged wire, bad mass ?). At this stage, my other suspect is a faulty O2 sensor but I'm not quite sure why it would work fine at higher rpm and not so much at low rpm...
