Has anyone built a motor with an 8v turbo bottom end, and a 16 valve turbo head ? I think the compression is lower on the 8v motor. I know the timing components have to match the head. I have put 8v heads on 16v bottom ends , so why not the other way around? Also what is the difference between the turbo on an 84 8vt motor and a 16vt? Are they the same? I would think I could run higher boost with the lower compression, and maybe a nice shot of nitrous. If this combo can work I may use it for the drag strip project.
Opinions??????
