The unit is a Snow Performance unit. I believe the way it works is that the pump comes on at the user-set initial boost (stage 1). In my case that's 8lbs. Then, the flow increases through the boost increase until the system is full-on at user-set stage 2 (20 lbs for me). I'm not sure how it does it, probably cycles the pump on and off. I've only been running it for a few days, but you can definitely feel the thing when it kicks in. A definite seat-of-pants increase in power. The car just keeps on pulling like nobody's business.
I couldn't tell you what size nozzle I have. I bought the system two years ago. If I recall, I contacted SP and told them about my setup and they told me what injector to get.
BTW, I don't know what year your car is, but if it's later than 91, you can get power from fuse #4 which is the DRLs. I just snipped the DRL wire in the box and soldered a new wire in to feed power to the pump (in your case, the fan). Then I ran the wire out through the same hole that the wire harness that goes over over the fender uses. The easiest way to get through the firewall is through the openings to mount the master cylinder on European cars. There are three rubber plugs there just at the end of the wire harness channel on the passenger-side of the firewall. I just drilled a little hole in one of the plugs to feed the wire through snugly. You can access it from the inside in the passenger's footwell. There is a pre-perforated cutout in the firewall insulation that you peel back a little to get the wire. No need to pull the carpet or anything, just reach up under the dash and you're golden. From there, you can tuck the wires in under the dash console at the bottom and add a switch next to your convertible top switch at the lower part of the console. No need to even remove it. It only took me about 20 minutes to hook up the electric on my son's IC fan doing it this way. I ran the hot wire to the pump and I put the switch on the negative wire. That way I could hook up the ground in the cockpit someplace, and just run the switched negative wire out to the fan.
