I've been through quite a bit with the 9000 exhaust. If you're looking for a simple catback replacement, your best bet will be to have a system custom made at any exhaust shop. Have them use 3" pipe (in case you decide to get a downpipe in the future), all they have to do is navigate the bend up and around the rear axle. They may change the hanger positioning too.
For mufflers, you can use pretty much anything with a 3" inlet/outlet, Magnaflows are nice and hold up well. If you like an almost stock sound, stick with 2 mufflers, one mid and one rear, just like the factory exhaust. If you like a mean Swedish growl, all you need is the one rear (use straight pipe in place of the mid muffler).
For the tip (I'm like you and wanted an oval tip), most exhaust shops stock a variety of chrome tips, or you can just go to PepBoys, NAPA, or the like and buy a chrome oval tip of your choice (they have a bunch that look right on the 9000) and bring it to the exhaust shop.
Or, you can buy an aftermarket system. The most popular is the JT 3", available from GenuineSaab. It is essentially everything I described to you above, just packaged in bolt-on pieces and sold for a higher price than a custom setup. Ask me how I know :)
Bill mentioned the stainless Abbott, or there's a stainless Group9 system too. Pricey, but I'm sure they look/sound great and hold up for much longer than the rest of the car will.
Overall, in my opinion, the best bang for your buck, proper fitment, and personal satisfaction comes from a custom made system. $200-300 is a reasonable price for the fabrication of a catback. Some shops can even make custom downpipes, but you want to pay special attention to that, since the downpipe is one of the most crucial pieces of the exhaust (performance wise).
Ask more questions if you have any.
Here's a pic of 9000's tailpipe and a YouTube link to a short video clip I just posted for you of my setup:
