I have an 88spg with everything stock except for the helper spring on the wastegate . With the spring base and max boost are right around where they are supposed to be . In order for the apc to have full control over the wastegate I need an actuator with the right tension so that I don't have to rely on a helper spring which does not change its tension regardless of what the apc and solenoid tell the actuator to do . I want to find the same wastegate actuator as the original but have not been able to find a new one at any websites like Garrett or any turbo site . I want to get the original actuator since I will be keeping my boost close to stock and want to eliminate having an actuator with somewhat different tension that will ad more variables into the way boost is managed by the apc . My actuator is weak and I don't think any used actuator I buy will still have its original tension . Does anyone know where I can buy the OEM and who manufactures it if not Garrett ? If not OEM , is there a way to find another with the same specs ( tension , length , adjustability etc. ) ? Thanks in advance for any suggestions .
