Hi Dan, there was at least one other plagiarist (as Drew calls them) besides Raul doing minimal APC upgrades and just paining them Red. Then there was another guy that didn't bother to paint them but had some counterfeit Group 6 stickers made up to make his look like Erik's original G6 units and then put them on fleabay, unfortunately for him he ended up selling one to a lawyer that (thinking it was a real G6 Stage I) sent it to us to have Erik upgrade it to a Stage II. You should have seen the letter the lawyer sent the guy threatening to have him indited on criminal charged plus other legal stuff so we never saw him on fleabay again! The way to know one of Erik's would be the hand written in gold or silver pin TR (Townsend Restorations) with 3 digits from 100 to almost 1,000 (yes that's how many units Erik has modified!) on the underneath side of the shell (also on one of the circuit boards). Previous to TR100/150? were the earlier black '85 and pre-'85 grey shells. I did reply to your email however I'm posting this here to help others stay away from counterfeit G6, G9 or SPG9 units!
