Hi. I have a 2004 9-5 Aero with an automatic gearbox. I quite happy with the car. I enjoy no longer having to shift gears around town, as I chose auto over manual transmission.
However...
Even in sport mode, if I hit it at 80kph-90kph, it doesn't seem to want to kick down low enough. I know 90-95kph is the top of 2nd gear. But if I'm cruising at 90ish, it'll gear down into 3rd which puts me at about 3500rpm, and even at full boost it doesn't pull hard at that rpm.
It feels faster to slow down to 70 and go wot.
Is the jump between 2nd and 3rd overly long?
Will a stage 1 tune adjust the shift points at all?
Thanks!
