Just keep in mind low end torque is what kills these weak trannies.....

If you do not care about max power I would just add a K&N filtercharger & a 3in downpipe and be done with it. This will allow the turbo to spool up several hundred RPM's sooner then what it does now & drastically change how the turbo responds.

If you want a little more ooomph...... a aftermarket APC & 3.0fpr possibly with a AID will all help. T5, megasquirt etc are great (I used Autronic SMC on my SPG) but those to me are more for performance and not if you just want torque down low. The aftermarket ECU's will do it better and allow the engine to behave more like a new car but I wouldn't do it, especially with the power goals you have in mind.

I have driven a few mits powered SPG/900T's & stock turbo vs stock turbo, T3 is what I prefer. But the mits is a better choice if you want more mid range however the trans will not last as long if you go this route.

Springs...... intrax are my favorite street setup if no track time or if you do not push the car hard. OEM's spg springs are old/outdated & they ride/handle worse then a set of intrax. Get a set of koni's to go with them!
