IF you go with the design flow of the intake and exhaust runners to increase swirl (and don't do detrimental flow changes) it can really only add power i just read a whole artical in engine professional (i get it at work) and it talked about how the charge swirling in the combustion chamber helps to evenly mix the charge for combustion (common knowledge i felt) but it said that there is usually always room for improvement on mixing in turn... if these cuts add to better air/fuel mixing in the complete chamber prior to ignition it can only give your more power and more efficentancy. sorry my spelling stinks! but it seems that this guy may have stumbled on just perfecting the burn a little more. thumbs up to easy power!
