Thanks for the help. Yeah it is the T5 management and it the symptoms lead me to believe you guys are correct about air leaks.
I tried using a new bpc valve and that didnt help. The car runs fine but the boost just seems too low. It still has the original vacuum lines so they are probably the cause. Other than simply replacing them, is there any way to test for leaks? Hook up a leaf blower to the intercooler piping with the engine off?
