Sounds like both cams are probably retarded one tooth in which case the car would still have some bottom end power but would really lay down at higher RPM's. Keep in mind that as close as those "V" marks are to the center of the cams that a little there is a lot out at the timing chain. I did a quickie measurement and one tooth is more like 3 to 3 1/2 mm's at the "V" marks. If your 2mm was just a visual guesstimate the distance may actually be a little over 3mm's so both cams would be off by one tooth! Usually these "V" marks are a little off however one would be a bit off one way and the other off a little the other way so when they're both off the same way cam timing probably isn't correct. If this turns out to be the case just back your tensioner off and turn one cam at a time (starting with your intake cam) one tooth clockwise from where it was in the chain using an 18mm end wrench on the hex area at the rear of your cams. Then once everything is all torqued back together turn the crank clockwise the two turns to recheck all of your marks again.
