I don't know what the attitude is about? I know you are just trying to help and it is my own fault.
First though, I did not drop the timing chain....and I did zip tye the sprockets. Instead of doing one cam at a time my friend pulled both sprockets at the same time and we thought we lost the timing and that it had skipped a tooth on the crank pully "I did not realize that it can't skip a tooth on the crank because of the guide rails" Having a chain that is maxed out did not help matters...I thought that I took the proper steps and my friend did not help things by pulling both sprockets off. I have had an indy SAAB tech look at it and he did not do any better with it! he took 2 hours and charged me $160.00 and it runs crappy...Easy job huh!?! He told me the chain tensioner was maxed out and the chain itself but when I checked I still had 3 clicks left on the tensioner and counted 15 pins between sprocket marks and the pully was at TDC, both cam lobes facing outward with the V lined up with the cam - as close as possible.
Hopefully not much damage was done it is easy enough to take apart now that I have done it 4 times.
