I run 225 40 18s on the street with 8" 40mm offset wheels. Fit perfect. Never rub even with the coilovers down low.
For the track I picked up some 235 40 17s Slicks. Running these on some 17" BBS CHs that clear the AP brakes with a little spacer like 4mm or so.
I have 245 40 18s on my 9-3 SS on 8" 45mm Look mean on the SS Those are big tires, I tried them on the Vig wouldn't turn out of the driveway. Pulled back in and swapped back. With 500hp needs more than 225 tires.
