E85 is actually safer than gasoline, it eliminates the potential for knock and the engine runs about 10 degrees cooler. You can make more power and make more power safely with E85, the engines run smoother and the amount of ignition timing that you can run is amazing.
When I have set them up, I use the 60# siemans injectors and have done some with stock pump, they seem to last a little while, you can always put in a walbro 255 to be on the safe side, I have done it both ways.
