I am replacing the B235 R engine in my viggen ( broken piston ) and am thinking about using a low milage b234 short block from a older 9000 donor car. My thinking is that i would like to avoid the various issues which a affect the early viggen / aero engines and buy some old fashioned saab scania longevity. Understood that head, manifolds and covers have to be transferred, 9000 head gasket used ....but it is not clear to me if i am limited to using an engine from certain 9000 production years as in 94- 98 or is an earlier engine / shortblock adaptable as well ( 91- 93 ) any thoughts would be appreciated tnx
