I did one about 5 years ago. It's the only transmission I've had apart, so I've got nothing to compare it to. It required a variety of types and sizes of pullers, and split ring pliers. If you have an earlier transmission, then you need to buy the newer style crown gear, as the old one doesn't fit with the Quaife. I took all the gears to get cryo-treated. All this made it a lot more complicated than it would have otherwise been. Assuming you have all the tools, have done transmission removal and overhaul before, I'd guess you could do it in a few days.
