Actually the older Audis I'm familiar with have a system kind of like that.
It's called "dynamic oil pressure warning" - they have two oil pressure switches, one set for a higher pressure than the other (around 9 and around 30 PSI if I recall correctly). Below about 2000 RPM it'll give a warning only if the low-pressure switch says to, above 2K it'll warn if the high-pressure switch isn't satisfied too.
