Hi Tom, if JAK's input on a grabby and or shuttery clutch disk scares you there are 2 9k turbo options for your earlier 215mm clutch upgrade! The early '86 -'90 9000T 228mm clutch set which is the same pressure plate as a '90 up C900T but with a heavier duty disk. The plus on this is that I have a source that has these in OEM for a great price! The other way to go is with a '92- '93 mid year 9000T 238mm clutch set. You would need the mid year flywheel with this setup, timing marks are off by 30 degrees so just blot out everything (with a dull punch) but the 0 in 30 and you've got you 0 C900 timing mark. Now days with a modern timing light all you really need is the 0 mark! What I do for the 238mm setup is to re-machine a flywheel like your '88 uses to accept the mid year clutch then all of your original timing marks are still there! Here's one I did a year or two ago

and here's one where I got real carried away with lightening!

If you did go with the 238mm clutch they're getting harder to find but I can refer you to a couple of companies I've found that do have them in stock! Take care, Dave
