We drove from Breckenridge to Estes Park the long way - over the top. Beautiful drive with the top down and my wife wrapped in a blanket as the temps at the top were a little frigid.
The new MXV4s were great. What I noticed the most was a smoother ride and softer reaction to road imperfections. I had Cooper Cobra GTs and the Michelins feel so much softer and more ply-able. To that end I feel that the car now tends to "slide" in the corners. I'm not loosing tracking, but I don't feel I'm tracking as well in the corners as I did with the Coopers. So I've had to adjust my driving style slightly.
The other thing that could be at issue here is my alignment. The tire shop noted uneven wear on the front left tire and suggested I get the alignment looked at. Perhaps with new rubber down there the alignment issue is exaggerated. Tracking has been more of an issue since I put the new tires on. It tends to want to track left or right and I have to keep adjusting it back, which pushed it off to the other direction.
But generally speaking very happy with the new skins.
