After living at my son's house for a few years my 97 900 Talledega came home just before Christmas.. I had finished the car as an on going project and he needed something to drive so it went to live at his house. I had added all the usual up grades,- suspension, brakes, exhaust. Some were left over viggen parts and many were new, from Genuine Saab. With a low millage 2.3 9000 aero motor from Goldwing installed the car spent a day on Nick,s dyno. By design the car made 310 whp. This translates to 360+ at the crank. Some time back Jak Stoll did a post saying he felt around 350 hp was a good number for drivability, I think he is right on. I can go from my 900 at near 360 hp to my viggen at near 500hp and see what is good and what is too much of a good thing. While there is some wheel spin with the 900, it is manageable. The viggen will break traction in 4th gear at 100mph, this may sound like fun but is definitely not. Making 21lbs of boost sailing down the interstate is close to Saab heaven, what say you.
