Could be broken 9-5 Aero's crankshaft?
Posted by Name Left Blank (more from Name Left Blank) on Mon, 13 Jun 2016 07:51:29
My car is Nordic II 435Nm/285Hp the boost pressure is 1.35 bar max.(2003,9-5 Aero with stick, 190K kilometers)
Two weeks ago the fourth piston broke. The mechanic who makes the engine rebuild said: he checked the crankshaft with UV light and he found "micro cracks" on the crankshaft and the crankshaft could broke if I take the maximum power from the engine.
The question is: can broke my 9-5 crankshaft in this tuning configuration? I found only one Youtube video about broken Saab crankshaft and didn't found anything about it in this website also. Even if you Google "broken saab crankshaft " you don't get hits.
