A variation of the same 3.0 liter V-6 with, of course, a turbocharger added!
Not sure on the transmission. If you look at the window sticker on the caddy or saturn LS and it says Transmission parts source in Japan, then it's a safe bet that it's the same Asian-Warner unit (supposedly the same that's used in some Lexus models, though no one has ever posted on here which model that I've ever read).
I personnally doubt that the transmission is the same, but I may be wrong. In the Saturn literature (and in reviews I've read) it is stated that the 5-speed in the Saturn LS is the same as the 5 speed in the Saab 9-3
