Off of a suggestion from a gentleman named Cliff from this board, I drove four hours to San Louis Obisbo to see if Mike Chadan could make my flailing Saab fly. Well, indeed he did increase my 88 SPG’s performance substantially, and also made the trip a very enjoyable and educational one. This was my first encounter with SPG9, and Mike. I must most sincerely say that I was VERY impressed. I would highly recommend Mike as a mechanic, and also highly recommend SPG9’s superbly engineered aftermarket performance parts. I was able to see SPG9’s impressive shop, and inventory. Mike also showed me the shop that builds his performance turbo’s where I met Don, a man who obviously takes great pride in his pristinely built, modified turbo's. And then it was on to the machine shop that does heads, cranks, blocks, and just about any other thing you could imagine. This shop is owned by Dave, Mike’s business partner in SPG9. I did not have the pleasure of meeting Dave. Mike has been a Saab mechanic since 1974, and was easily able to fix and explain the many problems I was having with my car. He has an amazing array of high tech diagnostic equipment. He even let me watch him make the repairs, and pleasantly explained what he was doing. Mike is efficient, extremely knowledgeable, and an all around great guy. Again, I would highly recommend him, and SPG9. Thanks Cliff!
