Yo,
I bought a K&N and installed a 15.00 heat shield from home depot. They have some heat resistant insullation that is made to wrap around heaters and air-conditioners. I'm talkin the fatties they use in big corporate buildings. Anyway, it is made of an adhesive, 1/4 inch thick with one side sticky. The other side is foil. I put three four layers together. It works well cause it is flexible and you can get aroung all your hoses. I found it to work very well. And it is f'in funny to see your mechanics face and he sees aluminum foil all over the engine.
