Adding Traction Control instead of Limited slip

Both the Rescue pack and ECU upgrades are heading my way for my 2000 9-3. Now I have to figure out what to do with all the power and handling in the snow of which we have 160 cm in Southern Ontario. The limited Slip is pricey, as is the labour to put it in. Cdn$4000 or so by the time you are done. Yikes !!!!!
A suitable surrogate would be traction control but those %&*&^* trolls didn't see fit to put it on the 9-3 until 2001 even though the 2000 has the T7 trionic and drive by wire throttle. Any thoughts on whether the TCS can be retrofitted to the 2000 at a reasonable price ?
