You will need a 900LPT or late 900T16 vacuum capsule - these have a more progressive retard I believe but I'm not 100% sure. Drill out the fixed stop and replace with a bolt head that you have filled a cam profile on. This alows you to adjust the gap externaly when you put it back on the distributor. Get a hand pump and guage on the line to the dist. capsule and a strobe on the flywheel marks. A basic starting point (or actual setting in my case) is 20deg BTDC (4 more than stock) at idle/no vacuum and 10deg at full boost (about 1deg less than stock). Also take readings as you increase the pressure and you can map a curve of boost vs retard. Then its just a case of tweaking the limits - If you go much below 10deg you lose power even though boost may be high - I wouldn't want to go much above 20deg off boost as you may be pulling too much advance on overrun. It will depend on fueling, fuel (higher octane is better),max boost and rate of boost rise so I guess each car will be different. It's not an ideal curve like the one you get from the BTM device but IMO it's better than stock. If you dont use the proper capsule you may not get a good curve at all - just a big jump from 20-10deg -not very usefull! I should have got the code off the arm when I had it apart.
