Has anyone hooked up a pressure gauge to the BPC W-port just to ree the correlation between the W-port signal and the boost taper? If the W-signal is 0 above 3500 rpm, then an MPC can not provide any assistance at higher RPMs.
Another thing: Does anyone know how high power the stock trionic fuelling (hardware and software) can support (-94 2,3 FPT manual)? I.e. can the higher RPM boost pressure be increased w/o running into lean conditions immediately?
My idea was to install a manually triggered adjustable bleed to the W-port, so that I could increase the high rpm boost level if I ever needed....
During the high flow / high boost conditions one more thing to think about is the turbo running speed. If too high, the turbo durability will suffer dramatically, maybe sooner than the increased thermal load will destroy the piston crowns and the exhaust valves. Any experience?
Has anyone tried to clean the compressor? While replacing the airfilter I noticed that the compressor wheel had some oily deposits on it. This has a huge effect on the efficiency of a gas turbine compressor. No smoke from the exhaust or anything.
Regards,
Tapani
