...check your coolant to see if it leaked out through the head gasket like it just did on my spg, but since yours was just done... i donno... plus i would think you would see the steam coming out of your hood. I would try to avoid driving it @least until you know the severity of your problem. I don't know what your problem is exactly but i would just snoop around and look for things like leaks, or missing parts or something that doesn't look right and go from there... thats all i can think of. When my coolant was low (well i had none actually) my idle was like a model t, you could watch my exhaust sputter out puffs of exhaust and running under 2500 rpm would cause really bad hesitation, i filled it up to get it to the shop (15 minute drive) and was down to less than an inch when i arrived. I don't think thats the case with you though, but check it anyway.
