I'm just wondering how to increase the rpm cutoff on a 1987 SPG without shortening the engine life. It cuts off at 5500 rpms now, and its really irritating because its a manual. To add to the irritation, the turbocharger spools down in between shifts, cutting acceleration down, and double-clutching is a real pain. I'm wondering if it might be possible to either change the fluid exchange rate on my present lifters or find a higher exchange rate lifter on the market. I'm hoping it would not be an overly expensive operation. If modifying other engine parts will be neccesary, its okay. I would also like to know if there are any wider tail pipes for an 87' SPG, because although I am changeing the muffler type, the tip of the tailpipe seems to get smaller. Thanks.
