I have only just started my Saab affair. this past fal bought a 1990 Saab SPG and now has 105k miles. First of all being nearly 13 years old it needs to be fixed up a bit. Though the records don't show it, i believe it was in a minor front end accident that has been repaired but the hood is still a little out of shape and the lines aren't quite right, so starting there:

- A new hood, or hinge, or radiator mount, which ever is cauing the problem.
- a new paint job, perhaps custom when the time comes
- new door hinge pins
- i need to get the seat heaters working
- need a new rear view mirror mounted dome light, it broke off
- the six disc changer in the trunk working
- i need to figure out why it lacks power, vac leaks probably
- reverse pops out of gear under hard reverse or backing up steep hills, either the gear or the idler (?? not such a big deal
- i need to lub the power window tracks, very slow in the way up
- i also need to find the sourse of the interior rattles a squeeks and take care of them if i can, not such a big deal
- a new /c compressor idler pulley i think, something from that area rattles loudly at high rpm
- steel wheels with snow tires

thats just fixing it up. as for tuning i want lots as the car is basically stock except for a slightly over bore exhaust.

For performance:

- K&N intake
- better exhaust, high flow cat, nice muffler
- 16 in. Aeros or something of the sort
- new performance tires
- i want to tweak the APC
- larger throttle body and injectors
- air/water intercooler
- larger turbo
- etc., etc., etc., anything to get me to around 300 hp

for the inside and appearence:
- white guage faces
- extra guages: boost, oil pressure/temp, fuel pressure, etc.
- some racing seats maybe, recaros, sparcos...
- other various interor mods, perhaps carbon fiber details and the such
- rally lights

that's only the start, but it wil take me a while to get there being only 17 years old and currently unemployed! I also have a '65 Austim Mini Cooper S in restoration which has the current vote of priority in terms of expense.
