I see it all clearly now.
I've often wondered what my actual boost is - I put some 98ron (UKspec) fuel in yesterday and I can get it to peak an hold for a good few seconds at 1/2 in the red before it comes down to 1/3. When I run 95ron it only briefly peaks in the red. I'm not hitting the overboost switch so it's probably about 1bar? - enough for a C900 (Euro 900T16)with a few mods but it shows what good fuel can do!
BTW I never boost it in 1st and 2nd as I'm gentle on my tranny so I've never found out what it does in the lower gears but I had a vac line to the solenoid split a while ago and for a short time it would spin the wheels in the first 3 gears - sound fun but it was undrivable! just shows what a good job the APC does in not just limiting boost but also controling the rate of rise to give you usable power.
