probably aren't that many because of the small value added for the increase in expense. don't really see where there would be that much of a difference between the axle and the tires. sure the tire will flex when you get on it. but the dyno measures the ability to accelerate the large drum underneath the car. if you were at a drag strip and mashed it with 200+ hp at the start, the tires would give a lot, but on the dyno, especially in 4th or 5th gear, it take a little while to spin the thing up. definitely a more gradual increase than off the line. sure, it's probably more accurate, but by how much? is it really worth the extra expense for knowing that you have 206.724 hp than 200 hp at the wheels? not to mention the fact that by removing the wheels you will have to recalculate the hp at the wheels with the extra added weight to get what is really going to the ground. dynos are good for more than just measuring power. fuel mixture, changes in timing, etc are all benefits, not just super precise hp measurement. but i digress. thats just my opinion.
