Nothing personal but you've got a *really* bad idea there!

First of all, the fuel vapors are going to mess up your mixture - it's not as simple as "more gas = go faster". Fuel and air must be closely matched or the engine will not run right. Second, if you do this, the vacuum from the intake manifold is probably enough to cause the fuel tank to collapse. Third, if any liquid fuel gets into the line, it could flood the engine, causing it to stall. Or worse, cause hydraulic lock and trash the motor.

If that charcoal canister had no purpose, the manufacturer wouldn't have spent the $$ to put it in the car! The charcoal stores the fuel vapors and allows them to be pulled into the engine in a controlled fashion, "controlled" being the important part.
