or you just do not like the whole idea behind it?
In practical application (I use one on my car, from Trent) in tandem with 30#/hr high flow fuel injectors, I think that the Trent RRFPR is best mod I've made to my car. It is noticeably faster, whereas before with the 3.0 bar fixed FPR, I would bog off the line, and a distinct fuel smell would permeate the cabin. I set the RRFPR to 3.3 bar w/o vac at idle (=2.55 bar w/vac)... changing from 3.2 to 3.3 made a huge change. I can't believe that I was imagining the difference/improvement. It was obvious.
The RRFPR has allowed me to dial in my fuel needs quite well. It's not perfect, and as you mention, an EEPROM chip/remapped ECU would be ideal. Given that these items are not easily available, the RRFPR is a great solution. My car is a freak of nature, though, for whatever it's worth. ;)
