Installed my fuel pressure gauge (at fuel rail) while keeping my original 3bar fpr as reference (running 24#injectors). It read 38psi at idle - which is oddly less than 3 bar/43.5psi. Then I installed the trent rrfpr and at factory setting it read 22psi. Way lean so it took 1/2 turn to get 36psi at idle (its been sluggish at low rpm w/ the 3bar so I wanted to keep it a bit lower). Drove the car a few trips and after a while would get some idle hunt and low rpm idle drop at warm startup. Got home and checked the gauge again and it was back to 22psi! - made another 1/2 turn clockwise to get 36psi. Does this seem consistent w/ others experiences?
Main question is about plugging the vac line to set the rrpfr at idle (as I've read as is the suggestion). When I plug it, the fuel pressure rises steadily and doesn't level off so it's impossible to set it correctly. So is the proper technique to pull the hose off at idle to check pressure, or plug it or leave it as is? Accel. in 1st and 2nd is largely improved and not sluggish like before, but I haven't taken it on the highway yet for the butt boost gauge.
Thanks for any insight.
