(Got no bites on the C900 board so repost here)
Regarding needle swing/bounce of pressure gauge mounted on fuel rail and the proper way to read the actual pressure:
I had assumed that the needle bounce on my gauge (1 1/2" VDO) was due to engine vibrations. Recently dawned on me that the swing may actually be from the pressure changes between injector pulses. Previously, when adjusting my rrfpr I try to average the swing of my pressure gauge to the # desired. (ie - swing is 40psi to 50psi: I assume 45psi) Am I correct with my rail pressure flux assumption or would the swing really be from engine vibe? Should I be setting it according to the top of the needle swing (max pressure?).
Thanks for any comments.
