I installed the system 2c about a week ago. I've been on travel and haven't really had a chance to check it out. It took me three partial days. I'm not all that experienced, don't have a garage to work in, and did some extra wiring, so my results may not be typical. The kit brad supplies is fairly complete. I needed some new tools, a vacuum tee, vacuum hose, a couple bolts, some wire and connectors. Brad also included a few polaroids which were helpful. I took a lot of pictures, but it will be awhile before I have a chance to scan them in. There's a number of ways you could install the system, but here's a description of what I did:
Although you could get the injector signal from the injectors, I decided to tap in at the ECU because it would be more clean and I wanted a switch to set the system to on, off, or auto so I needed to have the wires run through the cabin anyway. I dropped the lower dash and installed the manifold pressure switch there, teed off the vacuum hose to the boost gauge. The rest of the electrical side is fairly straight forward. Aquamist supplies a wiring harness with a relay and inline fuse. I got power for the relay at the distribution block on the right fender and used the ground near the battery. I got the ignition voltage to activate the relay from the headlight wiper. For the water side of things, Brad recommended using the washer resevoir. You just open up a hole in the resevoir and screw in a supplied fitting. The pump is mounted below the radiator on the right side. I had to get under the car, drop the skid plate, and tap four holes. I chose to install the water pressure switch on the left side below the radiator. Brad's photo had it in the space forward of the intercooler. From the pressure switch, the hose runs through the high speed valve and to the injector on the intercooler outlet. I zip-tied the high speed valve to a bracket forward of the intercooler. Tapping the intercooler was my only problem. I screwed up twice, but was able to recover. The extra hole is plugged with a pipe plug. I epoxied a piece of plastic that I had already tapped over the other one.
All-in-all it went well. I'm dying for a chance to really try it out. I can say that it allows me to achieve higher pressures before I hit the knock limit.
