i have an 87 spg. i had mike heyes solenoid mod done (with the end of an apc presure transducer, not a window washer). i didn't like it as i was too much restriction, i think and my car would boost to twenty lbs, then back down to about 10-13. fast, but not fun. after putting the stock soeloid back in, i started messing around with the apc pots. these things are really weird. with both 'f' and 'p' turned all the way down, i got about six lbs., understandable. then i turned 'f' up, thinking it was max boost level, and boost raised a slight pound or so, even though i turned the pot pretty far. so i put 'f' back where it was and turned 'p' in a bit, then my boost got up to ten. so i thought 'p' was max boost, and 'f' was boost at the higher rpm's (how much the boost drops by towards redline). is this right? also, i really just want to hold fifteen lbs. i have a 3.0 bar fpr, so i think it can be done without larger injectors for now. (once the middle hose popped off the solenoid and car didn't knock till twenty + lbs., but it was still scary) so, the question is, for those of you with fifteen lbs., what are your stock apc's tweaked to (position of the pots)? oh, one more question: how would a three inch turbo-back system with no cat and a borla turbo (or some other straight through design) muffler sound/ perform? thanks.
