I have done this at least 3 or 4 times. Base must be checked first by uplugging apc solenoid and taking a run. Then simply remove c clip and follow bently. What this does is prevents your waste from opening up till setting is reached. Yes this helps lag, but you must dial down APC to keep 22 or less or manage the risk of running you car at way to high of boost. Caution if you don't have water keep the overall boost down at 20 or lower. Just my recommendation. Brad@kcsaab.com has always played with the waste gate and APC adjustments to get my car to peak. I have since learned (since he is 120 miles away from me) to do this myself. Set Base of 10-12 and dial down APC to get overall 20. With H2O then maybe you can start climbing a little more in boost. Always remember you are shortening the life of your parts when you do this. It is you call.
