There have been some very enlightening discussions.

IIRC, as soon as the BCV "sees" a few lbs boost (4 or 5), it cracks wastegate slightly to allow some pressure to escape. Intent, as previously posted, was to avoid dramatic and sudden pressure spikes. (Obviously, they didn't ask US.) The MBC, installed in the vacuum hose between turbo and BCV, hides the pressure from the BCV and thus from the APC until the preset spring tension is reached. AS a result, 100% of the early boost goes into the intake plumbing, rather than something less. More rapid, uncompromising response is the result.

Please note, this is very different than the manufacturer's recommended installation, which hides pressure from the APC altogether. That defeats knock sensing, which to me seems quite desirable.

Other than my careful study of posted comments, manufacturer's claims, etc, I can only add my own first-hand observations. In a word: WOW!!! There was an immediate, dramatic and repeatable result to this mod. IT WORKS.
