New Turbo Installed

Viking Automotive installed a Turbochargers.com TE05/Big 16G 7cm2 turbo (with their Texas Monster Thrust Bearing upgrade) on my 88 SPG over the weekend. It is basically a stock TE05 housing bored out on the outlet side for the Big 16G wheel, and with their Stage I upgrade package added in. They claim it can support up to 380 hp safely. Too bad the tranny can't!
I had been using the Trent WG actuator with my stock TE05. This new one came with its own WG actuator; I may still change it out for the Trent model.
Results: Using their WG actuator means that the max boost will be lower, which is a good thing! 20 psi solid is the end result, and it gets there in an absolute hurry. I have never experienced turbo spool like this before, not even on the new 9-3s I've driven. The power uptake is smooth while amazingly quick, and it just stays at the top as long as your foot is in the gas.
I am very pleased with my choice! Next up: 3" exhaust. I think these two together will yield unbelievable results.
