OK, I can handle the tech. aspects as I have a mechanical engineering degree, and fair amount of "other" engine rebuilds under my belt.

SCANWEST as I recall is in Seattle or the area. I am in Charlotte NC, and only local indy shops. Townsend Imports is in Greensboro NC, probably the nearest expert, so I can call on him if required. For parts, the only comprehensive listing I find from a sponser is the saabsite.com. Don't know who else to call on this coast?

Anyway, I will dig into this soon, as this will be my first engine/trans pull from a C900.

Last question, where can I find the specs. on the layshaft? I don't recall seeing dimensions in the manual? If you can advise what the readings should be, that would be great. Yes I have decent mic's and access to more.
