The stock O2 sensor does not have enough range especially at WOT. It is intended to operate in a very narrow band of anything it could possibly see on a stock car. If you go way outside of this range (as in way lean) it will not know how to interpret it and send false signals. Odd as it my seem, it will sent a 1 volt signal if you are very lean.
