Hi !
Let's say that you have got two set of injectors (type "A" and type "B"), with the same STATIC flow. Even if the flow exactly the same if you open thme continously, the are probaly NOT interchangeable.
EVEN IF the fuel spray pattern is identical.
The reason is the "delay/reaction" time of the injector.
So, dynamically the actual fuel delivery to the engine can be different.
I'm afraid to say that the MAIN reason why we use the "Green Giants" in our Saabs is just because they have been available "on the market".
I'll guess that 99% of them are "liberated" from the Volvo assembly plant.
Very few of us are proud owners of "not stolen" Green Giants.
The fuel spray pattern is close enought.....
Widely different fuel spray calls for recalibration of engine management s/w. Unfortunatly the tuning guys do not spend too much time on this....
