I too have travelled this road... I installed S/D red injectors, S/D apc, K&N, 3.0 FPR, High Pressure BOV, Magnecor wires, new plugs, and the 300 ohm resistor. My idle before the changes was perfect, steady as a rock. After the mods, it idled high 1100 - 1400 rpm. I have replaced all the vacuum lines, AIC, adjusted the timing to 16 BTDC, set a higher base boost, cleaned the t/b, checked the TPS, reset the ECU, and changed the resistor to a 280 ohm (from what I have read on the BB, the AMM doesn't affect idle after warm-up). Under load (lights on)after warm-up, the car idles at 850 rpm with a little cycling up and down. The cycling seems to match the A/F ratio oscillating between rich and lean. Without load the engine idles a little higher (900 - 950) with the same oscillation. I am lettng it go right now because it isn't that bad. I am going to replace the O2 sensor (original with 122,000 miles) later as a maintenance item and hope that will help more. I was told the 3.0 bar FPR may be affecting this set up also, but I don't have the 2.5 FPR that I took off to try on this set up. Let me know if you figure anything else out. It has been a challenge! The car does scream now...
